Recut?

A few shots were cut for the 1976 reissue. The original cut, with a re-tailored Chaplin score appears on laserdisc and the DVD from Image Entertainment. That version plays slighlty slower, also, and has a running time of 91 minutes. The recut version with the correct Chaplin score was released on DVD in 2003 from Warner Bros. and is the version on Criterion's hulu channel. It plays in the original, slightly sped up silent film fashion, and runs 78 minutes.
