Missing the ending?

Saw it with modern live accompanyment at the 56th San Francisco International Film Festival. It ended very abruptly. No credits or any words at the end. It was announced the film came from the Univ. of Bologna, and it had French title cards. It seems some footage was lost at the end. I will check out the DVD on NEtflix.

I saw the Netflix version. I did have the ending, but seemed to be missing some of the best carnival surealistic parts I saw at the end, in the live version. I found the music on the netflix disk to be tedious, adding to the overall effect of it being way to slow, too long, too monotonous.

I just saw the Kino edition of "Waxworks" on YouTube, 83 minutes with a fine piano accompaniment by the great Jon C. Mirsalis. I don't know if this version is what Netflix provided you, but if not, I'd highly recommend it: http://youtu.be/Kz6BwtJ0WbY
