Was Lionel Belmore the mother in the "modern age"?

They've got him listed as Undetermined Role (uncredited) (unconfirmed), but that looked a lot like a male actor portraying the mother in the 1920s. At first, I thought it was Lionel Berrymore, but didn't remember seeing his name in the credits.
