Theater Release in 2013
In addition to a Blu-Ray release, "Safety Last" is being screened in select theaters in the spring and summer of 2013.

shareMy local National Public Radio affiliate screened it a few weeks ago as part of their 'summer film' series. Delighted me to no end not just to see the film, whose comedy still works, but at seeing a live audience really enjoy the film!
I'd never really seen Lloyds's work prior to this year. Just a few months ago the local ragtime music association screened one of his shorter films, Number Please, and it was equally funny. At this point Keaton is still tops for me, but Lloyd is a strong 2nd. Nothing against Chaplin but what I've seen of his films doesn't humor me as much as the other two's work.
