I've just bought a DVD of this film (it says Elstree Hill on it) ant it's only 60 mins long. The running times on IMFb say otherwise. was I ripped off?

I'd say so. The version I just watched was 1:53.

You should probably return it if you can. This is the type of thing only an editor would love.

I bought it from Amazon...New. It's not the first sh!tty Elstree Hill DVD I've bought. The Elstree Hill version of White Zombie was unwatchable, as the quality was so bad.

Yeah, the film is easily close to two hours in length. They probably chopped your edition up, and just used the Quasimodo scenes, or something like that.

I just bought the Elstree dvd. It runs for 101 minutes. For some reason the running time is split into 2. There are 2 separate parts to the dvd (although it runs seamlessly as one movie). The first is 60 minutes and the second is 41 minutes. I don't know why they did it this way.. maybe it was 2 versions spliced together.
