Wm. Powell

It's hard to imagine that from his performance in "Sherlock Holmes" that he would be a leading man in about 10 years time.

True indeed. This was Powell's first movie, and he looks bumpy in a few scenes. He doesn't seem to know what to do with his hands.

Look for a manicurist? He found one by his 3rd flick.

To understand is the opposite of existing.

Also hard to see Powell without being able to hear him. Sorta like watching W.C. Fields's silent flicks.

Such fun to see William Powell as a young man...in 1922 real time.
I am a HUGE fan of his, and just delighted to see him in his screen debut.

To think this was lost for decades....and then it took decades to restore it!
