The first movie ever made ??

No, that would be "The Great Train Robbery" a western from 1903. There were also moving images as far back as the late 1800's. Edison used to film boxing matches, so we'll never really have a definitive "first". There are also some french films, that came out prior to The Great Train robbery. The most famous being "A Trip To The Moon" (1902). It's too tough to say really. Nosferatu came out in 1922, this is long after the film boom of the teens. In fact the first feature length comedy was in 1914 (Tillies Puntured Romance with Charlie Chaplin).

The earliest movie I am aware of is THE HORSE IN MOTION (1878).

First movie was The Horse in Motion in 1878, which featured a guy on a horse for sixteen seconds. The first family movie was Roundhouse Garden Scene in 1888, which was a whopping two seconds long. The first horror movie I believe was in 1896 and featured a guy seeing a bunch of skeletons and bats and such in a castle. Unless you count the thirty second film The Train Pulling Into the Station, which featured a train coming straight at the screen and apparently scared the crap out of people. I believe this came out in 1889 or 1890.

There was also a twenty second or so clip in 1894 or 1895 (something like that) that featured the real-life beheading of a woman convicted for murder.

I believe this was the first movie made in Germany

According to Wikipedia, the first narrative feature film was made in Australia: The Story of the Kelly Gang, from 1906.
Sadly, it seems only about 17 minutes from the film have survived.
