Just like watching one of PETA's videos...
Slaughtering white foxes, polar bears, walruses, seals, fishes...beating the dogs... Nanook was a cruel *beep*

shareYou MONSTER! HOW COULD YOU MAKE LIGHT OF SUCH THINGS?!?!
FIGHT!!!share
I didn't mean to make light of it. He sure was a cruel *beep*
shareWell, you gotta remember, there were different lifestyles, so what you see as "cruel" can be considered normal to others.
Besides, the people have to eat, and if that's the only ting available so be it. There is NOTING you can do to stop them, unless you go to the Arctic with a group of PETA members and try to picket them for their lifestyles, right before you get mauled by their dogs or killed by the cold. Now that I would love to see!
You tell them! Nothing I love seeing more than my own kind getting murdered by brutal beasts or the savage winter.

I´m totally against animal cruelty, but it´s a movie from such a different era that you can´t apply our modern take on animal rights. It´s a hard environment Nanook and his family live in.
shareExcept PETA has killed more animals than the Inuit ever thought of killing.
Get me a bromide! And put some gin in it!
Heh, somehow I figured there would be a few posts like this. Yeah, it's kinda hard to be an eskimo vegetarian in the Arctic region...
