In the 1920's docters thought that goat glands were able to boost mens libido much like enzyte does today.

The man behind the biggest goat gland scam was John R. Brinkley. He very nearly got elected as governor of Kansas and started one of the first very high power radio stations in Mexico to broadcast his programs. Fascinating story.
