One of the best movies ever made silent or otherwise!

I have only just watched Orphans of the Storm half an hour ago, missed first half hour, darn it. I got so emotional, it was amazing such great actors! I have heard of the Gish sisters, but even now fell in love with Chevlier De Vaudrey also, and he would for sure have been my matinee Idol :)
If this is on DVD then I will get it...Fantastic!

This is indeed a wonderful film. Dorothy wasn't in a lot of films....this is generally considered her best work. Except for Mary Pickford, Lillian is my favorite from the Silent Era. I can watch either of them for days on end.

There's so much going on in this film it requires repeat viewings....a great silent!

I have seen a number of better silents, but this one is intriguing, interesting, and a very early big budget film.7/10 for me.A few pretty people in this but mostly a very ugly cast, epecially the old hag.
