Most Child Actors who were cute when little, didn't grow up cute.
That's not necessarily true, maybe in some cases (particularly with male child actors as they go through more changes during puberty), but there have been many former child actors who have grown up to be good-looking adults. Natalie Wood was beautiful all her life, as was Elizabeth Taylor, Shirley Temple was very pretty, Margaret O'Brien was an appealing little girl who grew up to be very lovely. Ann E. Todd is another whose childlike features were retained in womanhood. A more current example is Jennifer Connelly.
Dickie Moore and Dean Stockwell were both handsome as adults. Scotty Beckett, who is often thought to be one of the cutest boy actors, grew up to be good-looking as well.
I've seen news footage of Jackie Coogan at the time of is marriage to Betty Grable in the late 1930s and thought he was quite nice looking, in an average sort of way. It's certainly not his fault that he began losing his hair in adulthood.
