Marian
I love Marian,but she fell short in this movie.The movie bored me,and it felt like it was all filmed on a sound stage.Not really her fault,because the rest of the cast was boring,and not well chosen.
shareThe movie is entirely mediocre, but I don't ascribe that to Marian. In fact, if anything, the male lead is weaker than she is. In all her movies, she did two things well: 1. she was luminously beautiful, and 2. she was an extraordinarily talented comedic actor. In this film, when Davies is called upon to do one or both of these, she fares well. When she's asked to be dramatic, she does less well.
