Backgrounds?

Does anyone know if McCay used photographic backgrounds in this and some other of his later films?

McCay was a very skilled draftsman and is said to have been able to draw photorealistic buildings and perspectives just from his memory, so he was definately able to drwa like that. It's just... they sometimes really look like photos. It's just very hard to tell from the resolution of the DVD.
