Joe + Joe

This movie features Buster's father, Joe Keaton (playing his father in the film) and his 'heavy', Joe Roberts (the neighbor girl's father). Lord, what I would have given to see these two on the vaudeville stage, from whence both of them came.

Being a big fat man, myself, I've always sympathized with Joe Roberts. I can also trace Joe Keaton's film evolution, through these pictures.

I think it's a terrible shame that Big Joe Roberts died just after 'Our Hospitality.' He added so much personality to Buster's short films.
