Ah, the good old days!

It has been awhile since I have last seen this film, but I used to watch it alot with my grandfather, and I have always enjoyed. It's a great adventure film.

And with Douglas Faribanks too!

RivenWinner, you pop up all over the place. Don't know if you've already come across this, but Kino offers a DVD double feature of this and the sequel, DON Q., SON OF ZORRO, in which Fairbanks plays both roles. Great deal for fans of Douglas Fairbanks! I have never had a chance to see his Robin Hood, but recently picked up Flynn's ADVENTURES OF ROBIN HOOD on DVD, and among the extras are some brief clips from the Fairbanks version, which makes me even more determined to see it.

I have been trying to purchase the movie without success. Any ideas? Amazon advertises it but canceled my order after several months.

Thanks very much.

This is a public domain film so its available from several sources at a variety of prices. I suggest that, if you want a good quality transfer, you go with either the Kino DVD or the Image Entertainment DVD. These may cost more, but both companies are known for actually careing about the quality of their product and they use the best prints possible to make their DVDs.

Kino's listing for this film is at http://www.kino.com/video/results.php?search=Mark+of+Zorro&search_type=all&x=0&y=0

The Image Entertainment listing is at http://www.image-entertainment.com/detail.cfm?productID=12725

Does anyone know who the costume designer is for this movie? I'm doing a term paper for the History of Costume class at Sam Houston State Univ. and I haven't been able to locate that info. If anyone knows who that person is, please let me know!

I haven't seen too many movies (I will make that a goal this year in 2014), but when I first saw this on YouTube (not on a great DVD edition among many DVDs that are out there), I was amazed at how awesome this very old movie was.

It put a smile on my face, and it was a very hopeful and triumphal movie. Douglas Fairbanks's stunts are awesome, and the rest of the actors are great too.

The whole movie is one of the great silent films among many (including Fred Niblo's Ben-Hur, which is as good as the 1959 masterpiece of a movie). I shared this on Google+, and I do hope more get to see this movie.
