John Barrymore

I have never been a big fan of John Barrymore (to be honest, I think Lionel was far and away the better and more diverse actor) but in DR. JEKYLL AND MR. HYDE I see why he was so popular in his time. Most of his acting was just that, excellent acting...and no reliant on all the special effects Hollywood is stuck on now. And as Dr. Jekyll, he was a handsome man (although I still don't care for his profile.) This is an excellent version of the story and one of the better silent films.

This is honestly in my opinion the best version of the Jekyll and Hyde story. And yeah, a lot of that goes to Barrymore's amazing performance as both characters
