The Best Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde adaption?

This is the one I'm most familiar with, although I know some of the others are more well known. Which do you think is the best?

I know the big answers are the Fredric March and Spencer Tracy versions, and with good reason as both are excellent as well. But I do personally consider Barrymore's the best. I just really prefer the overall approach to the characters here, as well as the performances, and in my opinion, a perfect look for Hyde(March's was a bit too simian, and Tracy's didn't look much different from Jekyll).

since this is a silent movie i had the bbc radio dramatization of the same story on while watching this where jekyll and hyde was actually played by two different persons, i've seen many different versions of dr. jekyll and mr. hyde, i've heard that same criticism of tracy's role(s) before as you brought up, i guess my favorite will always be "the strange case of dr. jekyll and mr. hyde" tv movie starring jack palance, the same version that is featured in elvira's thriller video collection. the settings in this version looks very small even by compare with the tv movie, and for all the chatter on the two hour radio dramatization the few pieces of dialogue popping up in this is still stronger, while it is not just black boxes but neat artwork next to it, while palance in the part still look fairly human, this is quite over the top, and some scenes looks terrifying, like the crawling where he sleeps really stands out.

ground eerie silent sky of grey,
looking for a spark movement some way,
as volcano erupted negative emotions escaped,
lava runnin through veins,
at your heat i wanna stay.
