The Grim Game film locations - Houdini's connection to Buster Keaton

Buster Keaton dedicated his most famous short film Cops (1922) to Harry Houdini, the man Keaton credits as giving him his name. Remarkably, Cops was filmed at three places where Houdini filmed The Grim Game in 1919.

Shown are the former Bergstrom estate, the Cahuenga alley just south of Hollywood Blvd., and downtown at the former LA County Court House.

Very interesting.

BTW, I've been to the site you linked to, https://silentlocations.wordpress.com/2015/11/19/houdini-keaton-the-grim-game-cops, before, and it's amazing! Is it yours?

Awesome site! Keep up the good work. 

I'm a native Angeleno, but I lived in other states for a long time before finally returning home, for good, almost 10 years ago. One of the things I missed was being around classic film sites, and once I was back I did a lot of making up for lost time! I've posted a few pics on my Flickr page, including the famous staircase from Laurel and Hardy's "The Music Box," https://www.flickr.com/photos/graceinsocal/albums/72157624481538205, and some of Mr Roarke's house from "Fantasy Island" (which was filmed a mile from my house, at the arboretum), https://www.flickr.com/photos/graceinsocal/albums/72157624478235551. I haven't done much exploring lately, but hope to again soon!
