If you put that on a questionaire, I guarantee most would answer incorrectly. Yet, you go to any civilized country in the world and I guarantee someone can tell you who King Kong is and at least something that he did.
Honestly it isn't a fair competition. One is an 11 minute silent film about a man telling his nephews a story about a magic telescope that let him see dinosaurs and the other is Hollywood's first movie to be remembered.
Title says it all.
shareThe film features a prehistoric bird called a phorusrhacos, a brontosaurus, two triceratops, and a carnivorous dinosaur whose species is not mentioned. The scientific view of the tyrannosaur at the time was very much like that of an allosaurus, so it's hard to tell which one it's supposed to be. I think it might be a tyrannosaurus though, judging from the short arms.
