Buster's footwear

Buster is quite fetching in Alice's wedding dress. But I'm trying to make out his footwear. When he's kidnapped, he's plainly wearing Alice's shoes. But at the Justice of the Peace, I can't make out what he has on his feet. Is he barefoot, wearing stockings, or back in his slapshoes?
