Favorite Mutual Films Two-Reeler

Charlie Chaplin's physical comedic story-telling is well displayed in this film that has me laughing out loud whenever I see this charmer again. His grace and timing are perfect because, as anyone who knows anything about Chaplin is aware, he would film a scene over and over again until he knew he had achieved perfection; I believe that he did. With One AM he didn't merely set up a string of physical gags, he told a story. In my opinion, this film is the best of Chaplin's Mutual films. No, it isn't his greatest work, but how wonderful that these films are being restored. We can see the visual progression of his growth as an artist through the years.
