Is this film as racist as The Birth of a Nation?

The last hour or so of Birth of a Nation is so racist it's barely watchable. I hope Intolerance isn't that bad.

It's been a while but I don't remember anything racist about it. Griffith made this movie in response to the criticism he got from Birth of a Nation, so it tries to be anti intolerance.

It's actually the oppsite. Griffit got strong criticism about racism in Nathion. We wasn't racist and the racism was not intentional.

Back then this was "normal". Remember, we are talking about a movie almost 100 years ago. Let's not forget that decades before the movie racism was something "normal" to people too.

I know, but it's just funny seeing things that you would never find in a movie today.

Like when the words read "when women are no longer able to attract men they turn to reform as a second option."

That part was hilarious!
