Les Vampires seemed to me to be a rather chaotic organization with several different members possibly vying for control. satanas probably either saw the grand vampire as someone lower, or someone he was glad to have out of the way.
On top of that (now forgive me if I have some things wrong; it's been a while since I watched through Vampires), I doubt many vampires even knew the circumstances of the previous grand vampire's death and Irma's disappearance, and thus may have just seen the latter's return as something fortunate (or Irma was just that widely beloved that other miscreants would overlook an occasional betrayal, which considering how well her henchwoman role carries from one leader to another, is fairly likely).
