Wasn't the mother abducted in the 3rd episode? Never mentioned again, and she is there.

I just watched that episode on YouTube, and noticed that, too. I assume that the mother used the poison pen to disable her kidnappers, but that was not shown in the video clips I watched.

I don't know if there are bits of this serial missing, or if someone made a mistake when they uploaded Episode 3. I'm enjoying it anyway!

She escapes by killing her captor with the poison pen. After she is tearfully reunited with her son, she disappears for several chapters and then makes a few negligible appearances later.

Yep, it sounds as if some people watched a version that didn't have the scene showing us the mother using the poison pen to escape?
