Sourcing a Feuillade quotation

Hi,

I'm trying to help my wife source a quotation for a book she is writing about Les Vampires and 19th century mystery. It is mentioned in the essay written by Fabrice Zagury included with the DVD distributed by "image entertainment".

The quotation is attributed to Louis Feuillade and goes "There is one which the public has never been tired of, neither in theater, nor in literature, nor even in cinema; it is novelistic fiction. The taste takes its roots in a natural disposition of the human mind."

I thought these internet days it'd be easy to track down where the original was written or recorded, or to track down some contact details for Fabrice Zagury who quoted it. What a pity he didn't site his source.

Honestly any help, any leads, in tracking down another source besides the DVD inset essay for this quotation would would be greatly appreciated and a service for the academic consideration of the amazing work of Les Vampires.
