It's good. Really. Not just, "Oh, for its time..."

This movie needs no qualifiers. It's a good movie. (Movie/serial whichever). The plot twists and plot elements that are still used to this day to great effect are frequent. Each and every episode has an element that had never been used before and is still used in movies today. You can see its influence on the history of cinema. You of course have to grant that acting was different in 1915 than it is now in 2016, but it really is an incredible serial that I've been watching in episodes in order to finish the 1,001 movies to see before you die. I like watching it set to some Beethoven. You should watch it and appreciate its significance and impact.
