Can somebody tell me why this movie is so great that IMDb voters put it as the best in its decade? What exactly are the racist parts? (besides the title, of course)

Exactly, voters gave it a 10 mostly because of the title.
I bet none of them has actually seen the movie.

"Hate is baggage, life's too short to be pissed off all the time".

This was an anti black movie made right after Birth of a Nation (The only movie ever made where the KKK are the heros) was released. It tells the story of a man who's life is ruinned because he finds out he has black blood- In those days having any black blood no matter how little made you a black outcast from the white world. The comment listed for this movie under users comments is incorrect- He must of been thinking of another movie. Alot of the information here seems to be posted by people who seem to think the ugly title is funny.
