Trubus's wife? [spoiler]

The title card reads "Trubus's wife escapes her husband's shame". Okay, then we see that Mrs. Trubus dies at the end, but did they mean to imply that she took poison or something? i.e. suicide?

I suspect that back in those days they couldn't be too explicit about the cause or the means of death so they left it up to the viewers' imagination. My guess is suicide by poison.

It makes one feel bad, though, for all the other thousands of unfortunate victims of the "white slave trade".

I wasn't sure what to make of it. But I think suicide is a valid possibility.

Do you think Trubus then died of a heart attack or just fainted?
