Mack Sennett as an actor
Does anybody else think he comes across as mentally defective -- the combined deficits, and none of the assets, of both Carl Childers and Billy Bob Thornton?
shareAt least in this film he does. So do Roscoe Arbuckle and Al St. John (and I'm sure quite a few other actors) in several Keystone comedies. I think it had something to do with the audience at the time - many were illiterate, but few were as simple-minded as some of the actors.
