The famous Florence Labadie is said to be in this film.

She is uncredited and her role is said to be uncertain. I would like to present the possibility that Florence is a stunt woman in this film, doing some of the more difficult horse riding for Dorothy West. I think this because Florence was not yet a star at this time and (1) it answers the question of 'where was Frances' in this film and why she wasn't credited (2) she was well known for doing her own difficult stunts later in her career (3) the woman shooting a gun on horseback while the horse is rearing up looks more like Florence Labadie than Dorothy West. Dorothy West and Florence did bear a superficial resemblance, which might be another reason Florence was chosen as her stunt double. Anybody else have any ideas as to 'Where was Florence'?

More for all Florence LaBadie fans out there: This movie by D.W.Griffith was released on Aug. 28, 1911. It was supposed to have Florence LaBadie in it, but didn't. Why? Because she had quit Griffith's studio (Biograph) about this time. Her 1st movie for her new studio (Thanhauser) was released on Sept. 12, 1911. So maybe it was intended that Florence would be in Griffith's movie, but just never was because she was already working elsewhere. Or maybe her scenes were deleted because she was now a competitor to Griffith. Florence's part may have been left in the written materials for the movie, so IMDb includes her in the cast. I can't know for sure, but it adds up.
