Georges Melies and...

If you've watched any of the films of the French pioneer Georges Melies, it would be hard not to see a similarity between his work and this film. Even the Wizard kind of looks like the French director himself! In one person's review, they thought his A Trip to the Moon was better than the Wizard. As far as story construction, I don't agree. WOZ had a much better pace.
