This achievement almost cancels out the fact that AFL (read: gayFL) is the predominate sport in Australia. Rugby FTW!

Kind of funny that the film has a rating of 7.7 when none of us can see the whole thing!

Nevertheless, I can't help but think that there should be a lot more activity on this board than over on the "Birth Of A Nation" board. I don't know if I dare say anything there. It's all "Yeah it's racist, but it's the most important movie ever....it's the first feature film".... Yuck. As ever, ignorant of the facts. 9 years before 'Birth' the Kelly Gang was released and the Yanks still ignore it.
I'd rather watch this film (the whole thing, if I could) than Birth Of A Nation.

Such is life.

it's a cool acheivment, i think that if it were an american film the yanks would never let people forget that it was theirs! now they say that it wasn't and overlook it.

Birth of a Nation exists in intact form while this film does not, so The Story of the Kelly Gang is mostly of interest to film academia.

Hey, let's not let little things like facts get in the way of another chance to showboat against 'muryka' and illustrate how simultaneously brilliant, tolerant and humble the rest of the world's populations are.
I'm sure the right message board discussion will come along and get through to enough yanks to put some dent on their national empire, lol.
