HELP - another animation similar to this one HPOFF

Hi, I'm looking for the name of this short animation that used to be on the SBS channel here in Australia many years ago. It was like a 5 min line/chalk animation of this single character walking along a line (to the left of the screen)... whistling, singing but none of it ever made sense. And as the character walked along, this human hand would come in and draw various things around this character... like obstacles... and the character would immediately get agitated and start screaming etc.

The background would change color depending on the character's mood. If it was very angry it'd turn red. But the line and the character will always remain white.

Finally, the line would come to an end and the character will fall off.

The hand would then re-appear and write the following words:

" THE ENDE "


Anyone can please give the name? I've been looking for it high and low but could not find it.

I'd say it's no older than the 1970s because it was in colour etc. It used to be on TV (SBS) in the morning or afternoons between programs during the late 1980s / early 1990s.
