Barbara Hepworth

Can anybody confirm or deny that the Barbara Hepworth appearing as a baby in this film is the famous sculptor of the same name? I haven't found anything to connect her to Cecil Hepworth (father of the baby and maker of the film), but she was born around the right time to have appeared in the film.

From Wikipedia: "Dame Barbara Hepworth DBE (10 January 1903 – 20 May 1975) was an English sculptor. Her work exemplifies Modernism and along with her contemporaries in England such as Ivon Hitchens, Henry Moore, Ben Nicholson, Naum Gabo and others she helped to develop modern art (sculpture in particular) immeasurably. Jocelyn Barbara Hepworth was born in Wakefield,[1] West Yorkshire, the eldest child of Herbert and Gertrude Hepworth. Her father was a civil engineer for the West Riding County Council, who in 1921 became County Surveyor."

Thanks, Ren. Wow - it took seven years for somebody to answer my question. I think I eventually concluded that they weren't the same person - it's just an odd coincidence. But you'd be amazed how many film scholars I asked couldn't give me an answer...

It took only a quick google search to find your answer. But it came about in an interesting way. Another forum posted a YouTube of Rescued by Rover and initiated a critical discussion of early editing techniques, which led me here to post a rating on the film, which led me to see if there was anything on it's message board.

Glad I could help.
