The movie obviously were influenced by the John Tenniel illustrations for the original "Alice" book. My favorite bit is the "Cheshire Cat" (just an ordinary film of a British housecat superimposed on the "Alice" film).

Yep, I wonder what were damaged and unable to recover. It was cool to see the first Alice movie. :)

I think the part with the dog was damaged and unable to recover because in the version I saw, there was the intertitle but the footage was cut out.
