WHY DIDN'T THIS WIN THE OSCAR????

I've seen Edison Kinetoscopic Record of a Sneeze so many times, it's impossible to count. Heck, I watched it 68 times on a loop this morning alone!! The plot, the action, the suspense. I love this film and wish it had one the 1894 Oscar for best picture. It was one of the best movies of that year, way better than that stupid Forrest Gump movie.

Academy voters have always rewarded peeing over sneezing, that's why "Gump" bested "Ott."

Probably because the Academy Awards didn't start until 1929.

Anyway, why would they give Edison an Oscar after all the trouble he caused the motion picture industry with his patent infringement lawsuits?
