Senate; U.S. Constitution requires senators to be at least 30 years old and to have been a citizen of the United States for at least nine years. They also must live in the state they wish to represent at the time of the election.
House; A person may qualify as a Representative if they are at least 25 years old, has been a United States citizen for at least 7 years, and is an inhabitant, at the time of the election, of the state in which they are chosen.
