Scaring the Republicans

He doesn't look scary but he's got the dittoheads out in force trying to discredit him so he must be a threat.

reply

Egh, just partisan pundits doing their thing. Beta O'Rourke is not the next Obama that's for damn sure.

reply

Rush must whipping them into a panic. Got to keep that base motivated. Is he a gun grabber or a socialist? Or worse, neither.

reply

The GOP are not "just partisan pundits doing their thing", they're half the government and half the political establishment and half the voting base.

An insultory GOP tweet mocking Beto O'Rourke's Irish background led Republicans on this site who soak up their news from GOP feeds/emails to this board.

The GOP twitter is actively posting character assassinations against many of the candidates as part of the GOP campaign to re-win the Presidency. That's not even the tip of the iceberg.

Pretending the Republican Information Machine is mere punditry is exactly why Democrats lost more than a 1,000 seats at the local and state level since Obama was elected, lost control of the House (and had no control of the Senate) for most of Obama's term, lost 2016, lost more seats in the Senate in 2018, and lost key elections (Texas, Florida, Georgia) they should have won.

It's weird that dittos spend so much effort spreading propaganda even here in backwater movie forums.

He's not a threat. He has so many negatives, and the only positive that I can see is that unlike the front-runners, he's not geriatric so he might appeal to the younger crowd. But then he does something goofy like skateboarding. He's never achieved anything, but there are Dems who think he's the next Bobby Kennedy, so hey! He deserves to be President!

And before the Trope Chorus starts in, no, I didn't think Trump deserved to be President, either. Nor did I think Hillary did. We had the choice of worse and worser in 2016. Trump, at least, wasn't going to say that some boy who decided he was feeling female that day should be able to go in the girls' lavatories and be one of the girls in the gym classes. That was and is pure insanity -- we're not completely done with it, yet. But they've replaced it with murdering babies moments before they're born.

Interesting side note -- we were told that we had to have abortion instead of adoption because, "If I carried the baby to term, I'd just naturally want to keep it!" Forty and fifty years later, you substitute "kill" for "keep" and that's why we simply must have abortion. Society is in a nosedive.

First, don't ever go to Virginia, they have co-ed bathrooms. Second, we already perform late term abortions when the mother's (or baby's) health is in danger, they are called Caesarean sections. Abortion is a termination of the pregnancy, not the fetus, but in early abortions the fetus cannot survive. And if Republicans are so concerned with babies, deliver on universal health, stop blocking sex education in schools and the distribution of birth control to minors. Stop pretending that women in 1950 didn't have babies out of wedlock. Also one of the first things republicans did was repeal Obama protections on water supplies. Look up the rates of birth defects near mining operations and then tell me with a straight face that republicans give 2 cents about babies. Republicans bleated about abortion before the election, like they do every election, but after winning all 3 branches of government, DID NOTHING, until they started losing control and suddenly it's an issue again. Bush did nothing about abortion. Hypocrites. Meanwhile you get angry about who uses what bathroom.

Quit reading when you thought Caesareans were the same as abortions. 😂 Two of my granddaughters were born Caesarean. They’re still with us. In abortions the lives are terminated. I can’t believe you didn’t know that, but I now know I don’t have to read your “wisdom” anymore.

reply

I'm absolutely shocked that you didn't respond to my examples of your hypocrisy.
