Thankfully, they're saying in polls that not only does half of America hate abortion, over half can't stand the idea of abortion in the third trimester. And he's backing it. As the Democrat party continues to be more and more extremist, they're going to turn off more and more voters.

That, and he looks like he's swatting flies when he talks.

and that poem/song that is vulgar by any standard.

Especially the lines that say:

"I don't even wait. And when you're a star, they let you do it. You can do anything. Grab them by the pussy. You can do anything."

Or those filthy lyrics where he talks about his own daughter:

"My daughter* posing for Playboy would be really disappointing… not really. Although she does have a very nice figure. I’ve said that if my daughter* weren’t my daughter, perhaps I’d be dating her."

"“Yeah, she’s really something, and what a beauty, that one. If I weren’t happily married and, ya know, her father …”

"I'd like to bang my daughter"

"My daughter,*. She’s 6 feet tall; she’s got the best body.”

And then when he was asked by a reporter what his favorite father/daughter experiences are and he responded, " “I was going to say sex, but I can relate to [golf and real estate].”

I 100% agree - vulgar by any standard, except all the above were quotes from T-rump over the years, whom you support proudly.

* The identity was changed from "Ivanka".

He was a youngster when all those things happened. Mistakes of a youthful edge lord.

reply

You can't possibly believe any of things matter given who the president is. And unlike the president, he actually owns up to his mistakes.

Infanticide. That's a little extreme. Most people support a woman's right to choose an abortion. Most woman get them done before the fetus has a brain. I feel for women in Kentucky whom, recently, might find out they're pregnant after 6 weeks and find they legally can not get an abortion and as a result are financially in the hole for the rest of their lives supporting a child they did not want.

When that happens it's a great thing but no women should be forced to carry a baby to term.

I was raised Catholic but have since lapsed. I'm glad the Gabriel Project exists for those who want to take advantage of what it offers.

reply

Compared to the president who refuses to ever own up? Surely you jest. The current occupant is what really reduces this argument to farce. No one cares what he did 23 years ago.

reply

never heard about the breaking and entering charge. thats gonna hurt him even more!

reply

Having a DWI is a feature, not a flaw, George W. Bush also had a DWI, nobody cared

reply

Bush didn't break into UTEP and steal computers, and have his daddy get him cleared. Beto should have served time in prison.

reply

George W. Bush never served time in prison for his DWI. He also greenlighted murdering hundreds of thousands millions of civilians in the "war against terrorism" and he greenlighted destroying multiple nations and he walked instead of serving life in prison for greenlighting war crimes and crimes against humanity.

It's nice to see pro-Trump Republicans scared sh!tless about this particular candidate.

"Not I.""

You are because you're on his board attacking him. The response from pro-Trump Republicans and "Bernie or Bust"! people is an amusement serving to unite Democrats and Independents behind the Democratic Drive to the White House. It's all about the DNC Platform versus Trump/Republicans, and almost all the candidates subscribe to that platform yet pro-Trump Republicans have already set up shoppe on Beto's board. You're here targeting Beto because you know just enough Republicans and just enough rural/agricultural/manufacturing/trade-unionist/coal country/unemployed/struggling/anti-immigrant Democrats will swing most if not all swing states back to Democrats. I'm not threatened by Bernie Sanders or any other candidate or Joe Biden because the goal is winning back the electorate and turning Capitol Hill Blue Again and I view Bernie Sanders and several other candidates as critical to that. You're not feeling threatened by Sanders either because even though he's viewed by many as a presumptive frontrunner for the Democratic party, pro-Trump Republicans don't believe the "liberal college social justice warriour" rhetoric (not unique to Sanders' campaign, either, other campaigns are using the same rhetoric) has any national traction, while they clearly believe that Beto O'Rourke's colloquial familiar commonspeak language stole much of their base in Texas and is now going to steal that base across the US where it counts that most.

I know you need to believe that conservatives are afraid of this Beta male, but we're just having fun with him. [The latest on Twitter is a picture he posted with his dog. The reactions are hilarious]. On Twitter, the Bernie faction is attacking Bobby O'Rourke with a vengeance. All we have to do is sit back and watch that slaughter. The same news organizations that were talking about him like he was the reincarnation of Bobby Kennedy when he was running against Ted Cruz are now laughing at him and saying he won't be able to "skateboard past issues" in the 2020 primary as he did in 2018. (And if he skateboarded past the issues in 2018, he still lost.)

Given a choice, I'd rather see a strong conservative like Nikki Haley go up against the perfect symbol of the New Democrat party, Robert "Beto" O'Rourke. Instead, by the time the elections roll around, it will probably be two geriatrics going up against each other, each with some interesting financial problems they'll have to explain. And personally, I hope everything comes out on both of them.

Finally, understand that at bottom most people are on this site not because they care truly, deeply, achingly about any particular topic they're posting on. Usually they're either bored or putting off a chore they don't want to do. Speaking of, time to do that chore. Ciao!

reply

Most people are independent and much more concerned about ending wars or getting free healthcare than your goal of turning Capital Hill blue. You've convinced yourself that people like Beto are centrist and therefore more viable that socialists like Sanders. Party loyalists on the other side tried to stick us with Jeb Bush for the same reason. We don't need you to stick us with yet another manufactured corporate candidate like Hillary under the same false pretense.

We're phobic we won't have a real option.

So your'e happy 9/11 happened, nice.

reply

It's pretty funny I concur. You know they're desperate when they have to dredge up what happened 25 years ago in light of the lifelong entitlement and criminality of the current occupant. No one cared about Bush's DWI from his former life as a drunk either before he sobered up.

The irony is that if he ends up sinking in the primaries, it won't be due to any of the silly criticism leveled on this board thus far. It'll be because he's positioning himself as a moderate "Third Way" Democrat too closely associated with triangulation and Clintonian politics for the base to swallow. Especially if he welcomes corporate pac money with open arms.

Also doesn't help that he voted with Trump on immigration and healthcare.

In his favor he seems to have a knack for retail politicking. It appears to be how he was able to successfully primary an 8 term Dem Hispanic incumbent in a district that was almost 80% Hispanic. If he can replicate that sort of success in Iowa like Obama did in '08 by visiting every district that could give him a big early advantage.

reply

W. should have to spend time in jail for Iraq / Afghanistan. Ideally life in prison (he could paint all he wants). At this point I'd take anything. Even 3 months in jail just to acknowledge his guilt.

reply

yeah but george w. bush was funny as fuck. the dui was just part of the funny act. this dude isnt funny so the dui wont seem funny either. you know what im sayin?

reply

Yeah but Beto is funny as f!kh. The dui was just part of the funny act. Trump and Republicans aren't funny and their crimes are not funny and only the daily dwindling number of pro-Trump voters are laughing. You know what I'm saying because you're here trying to sell the newly minted GOP/RNC propaganda already, just under a year before the actual Democratic primaries begin, before the Democratic debates even begin.
