She's kind of an iconic character... I think everybody can relate to Barb in some way

Hit the nail right on the head. Barb is timeless. We all knew her, even back in the '60s, my era. Shannon Purser played her perfectly.

It's hard to avoid noticing the ugliest hairstyle possible, plus the clothes don't help. Not bad for a first time role.

Ohmygod! I just said this two hours ago to my partner after we watched the first two episodes. I told him all my friends back in the day were just exactly like BARB.

Yes, everyone knew a "Barb" in high school. Damn she was loyal, and it was so sad what happened to her.
