The tax granted would go to pay for them, but realistically people are fed up with migrants coming into France and then sucking off the system drawing government benefits and who pays for it? The hard working French people. The only reason they disguise it under the cloak of a protest against the tax is because if they openly said it's against the migrants the media would pull the "muh racism" card.
