You are still a child. There is such a big difference between a 24 year old and 16 year old. Older guys like to pick younger girlfriends because they can't deal with dating a woman in their age group. I know there is the power imbalance which is pretty common with age gaps like this when the couple is young. Now if she was 26 and he was 34, then it would be different. I wouldn't see a problem. 16 and 24 gives a side eye.
