Worst. Christmas. Ever.

If anyone complains about having a bad holiday season just think of what she and her family are going through and, save for a some even unluckier souls, i'm sure it would be pretty rad by comparison. Count your blessings folks.

I just want to give her a big hug and I'm not even the hugyy type. But damn, just feel so bad for her... :,(

I was thinking the same thing. I cannot imagine how much she will hate Christmas for years to come. If this were in a movie, everyone would say, "It's not true to life. That doesn't really happen." Unfortunately for Billie and her family, it did happen. Poor kid.

Totally. :(

Yeah. She seems like such an awesome person too (like her mother and grandmother). If strangers are feeling the loss of Carrie and Debbie, I can only imagine what it feels like for Billie. I hope she's surrounded by really supportive and genuine friends and family.

Point of order,

Dismissing anyone's misfortunes is insensitive, arrogant and selfish. You can't tell anyone "yeah, your Christmas doesn't matter, someone else has had it worse".

You can't compare feelings and lives.

That said, of course Billie had an awful NYE, and we all should as humans, sympathize with that, but is it too much to ask that you do this, but not discard other people who are in crisis? I'll never understand why it's policy to tell everyone else to shut up when we should all be compassionate towards each other.
