I dont think it's an american accent, it's the accent of someone who's learnt english and grew watching american tv/movies (everyone I know sounds like her, noone speaks with english or australian accents, except english and australians). I doubt she ever lived in the US longer than her first few months of life. Despite what her "trivia" says, she said in interviews she lived in Argentina until 8,and then moved to London.
