She was supposed to be the Next Big Thing. What happened to her career? Even someone without the massive box office success like Anya Taylor Joy is getting more roles.

I don't think star wars franchise was ever a star maker - most peeps involved in the first trilogy didn't get far, other than HF who already had a few films under his belt, and MH who did quite a bit of voice acting work due to his, what was back then, hidden talent.
shareHarrison is the only star to come from Star Wars. Mark was always a B lister at best, even with his excellent voice acting.

She was in Murder on the Orient express, a movie that nobody wanted, and couldn't act in that either.

the trouble with English actors in Hollywood films, is that they always have to be "more British" than they are (eg, Hugh Grant). I seem to hear very few actors who just talk (this is back to the 2 types of Brit in Hollywood, cockneys (J Statham) and hugh grant types). Daisy never seemed to be speaking normally, she always sounded to me as if "ok, I have to be speaking clearly on set"
and she only had about 8 minutes of screen time.
