She was in something like the show "Shameless" before the Disney stuff. Usually, it's the other way around.

Dove was in fact in shameless

A lot more of kids on the Disney Channel were in non-kiddie fare than you might think. People ranging from Sabrina Carpenter to Christy Carrlson Romano were on shows and movies that were very inappropriate for children.
