As I watched The Edge of 17, I noticed something. I get that the insecure lovable puppy Asian guy Erwin would win over Nadine's heart in the end, but he didn't even get a kiss on the cheek when the vibe was clear they would've kissed on the lips. Instead, they just awkwardly smile at each other before talking with his friends. It's only suggested that they'll start dating.

Meanwhile, the white guy Nadine was obsessed over made out with her, felt her breast and got all up in her panties.

This kind of reminds me of Pacific Rim where the white guy and Asian woman survive the climax, only to look at each other awkwardly. Still feels like Hollywood has problems showing interracial intimacy, especially when it involves a white person.
