She had her directorial debut with the short film Chocolate Cake (2017) which received funding from Storyhive. Brittney was featured on KTLA News during Oscar week promoting a female filmmaker's initiative with moments shown from the short film. It would later premiere at the Vancouver Int. Women in Film Festival.
