Enough is enough

I'm gonna put this to bed.

Harassment - aggressive pressure or intimidation
Bullying - seek to harm, intimidate, or coerce

Kelly Marie Tran was not bullied and was not harassed. She received mean tweets. That is it. If i call her names on a tweet that is not harassment or bullying, that is me being an asshole and trolling someone. Because she is a woman should play no relevance in this even though the many white knights would have you think otherwise. You can't have sepearate rules for men and woman, you know equality and all.

If someone saw my reply earlier i know first hand what bullying and harassment looks like and a few mean tweets is not it, not even close and to actually try to comapre what happened to KMT and someone who has taken there own life to bullying is shocking and you should be disgusted with yourselves.

Yes i'll agree that this type of behaviour shouldn't happen but it does and always will, it will NEVER stop. Why? Because there are assholes in the world who will trash anyone for any reason.

(The next paragraph will be extreme, you have been warned for all you sensitive snowflakes)

If she was called a chink, fat cunt, stupid bitch, chunk, you get the idea. Yes it is horrible but all she had to do was block them, problem solved. She was never gonna meet these people or interact with them in any way. Ignore them, move on with your life. No she screamed victim and used her gender and race as a weapon to be protected by media and white knights. There is even one on here that i just read that basically said it is ok to do this to men but not woman, hypocrisy screams on this site.

But again those are mean words that can be easily ignored, it is not harassment or bullying. Did she have websites created about her? No. Did she have Facebook pages created about her? No. Was she sent personal messages to her phone who knew where she lived actual death threats? I doubt it. Was she stalked? No. Was she assaulted? No. Apart from tweets did anything actual happne? No. I could go on and on about this.

What happened to her was just dickheads being dickheads, thats it.

She has no right to say she was bullied or harassed. Men and Woman, boys and girls lose there lives to real bullying and harassment. She is just a Hollywerd elite playing for victim and woke points and you are all falling for it.

"Rose Tico is a truely shit, boring character that adds nothing to Star Wars". I tweeted that and was called sexist, racist and lumped in to the whole bullying narrative, so you can understand why i'm a little annoyed. Nothing i said there was even remotely sexist or racist but it doesn't have to be because it was negative, that is all that is required.

No one forced her to delete anything, she did that off her own back. If she cannot handle mean tweets and bad words she is the wrong business.
Rant over.

Exactly, just about every celebrity or politician has to deal with this, however Tran seems to think that she's special and is entitled to only hear slobbering praise towards her or else you might hurt her very fragile self esteem. This whole "strong female character" thing is a smokescreen. In reality she's just a damsel in distress, she's an entitled princess who has the maturity of a preschooler. I fully agree if she can't stand the heat she should stay out of the kitchen.

Also if she had said one simple thing I'm pretty sure this all would have blown over by now: "If there's anyone who lets say went into Last Jedi with high expectations and I let them down in any way then I really want to apologize because that was never my intention, my intention was to entertain, but at the end of the day I accepted the role so I accept the responsibility". That's very similar to what Joel Schumacher said after Batman and Robin was panned by critics and many people respected him for his maturity in the matter. A simple apology goes a long way.

One minor disagreement: "...to be protected by media and white knights."

I don't think the vast majority of these "victims" turn themselves into make believe victims for protection. No, I don't think that they're, in all actuality, even remotely emotionally or mentally affected by comments from RANDOM STRANGERS ON THE INTERNET. I think they pretend that they are for career advancement, especially when you've just had a performance or piece that wasn't well received, for honest reasons. Like someone in another thread said, she'll probably have her own network show within a year.

reply

Agreed. Putting this out there, getting your name on the front page is only going to help her career. No doubt in my mind that this is EXACTLY what all this is about.
