Series of roles you'd like him to do

I was looking at the comments online and a number want to see him in Dr Who or Black sails. Personally I think he's good enough for a major film career. If he'd been in Game of Thrones with its much bigger audience to Vikings I'm sure he;d have been offered lots by now. It's a shame Vikings is on the History channel. Must admit I;m annoyed by Michael Hirst decision and I don't think I;m the only one based on comments I saw online.

Yeah I really would like him to do a movie. Maybe after Versailles he will get more recognition. And it's really a shame he's not starring in GOT. Imagine if he was cast as Jon Snow instead of Kit Harrington...

I think more big budget film work is on his radar but can't commit to much right now because of Versailles. Though the short film he just wrapped, Blight, will be making the rounds at some big film festivals later this year.

Roger in the Outlander series

I'd definitely love to see him on Outlander.

He is too short to be Roger. With his hair dyed he could make good Lord John.

Jesus. He should definitely play Jesus, he's the perfect man for the role. Apart from how amazingly gorgeous he is with shoulder length hair and a beard -and those blue eyes!-, he also has this strange kindness and serenity/inner peace in the way he looks and talks at people.

But the real Jesus didn't look like that lol. To be honest I think blue eyed, fair skinned and handsome Jesus is kinda outdated way of portraying him. And this is too close to Athelstan.
In my opinion Blagden should play young Napoleon Bonaparte. I don't remeber any Bonaparte oriented film in recent times. 19 century attire looks good on George (Les Mis!). He also would make a wonderful Will Bancroft if someone ever decides to adapt John Boyne's brilliant novel "The Absolutist", though he may be a lil bit too old for the role.

reply

Yes, you are right. From the digitally recreated images that we have, Jesus looked nothing like that, it's only the image of Jesus we have in our heads mainly because of Robert Powell, lol. But I'd still like to see Blagden play Jesus. Bonaparte is a good idea, though. Not sure if he had blue eyes but that is not a problem.
